Recent Highlights

Foreclosure Prevention Counseling
Over the past two years more than 300 persons have sought assistance in keeping their residences (this includes a number of Greenforest members). The CDC has a 91% success rate in helping these people keep their houses. This counseling is funded through annual grants of $10,000 from DeKalb County and $25,000 from Freddie Mac Corporation.

No Child Left Behind
Over the past three years 235 community children have gone through the CDC’s program which was funded with $190,000 from DeKalb County. Many of the instructors in the program are members of Greenforest.
